At Leeds Federated we work in partnership with different organisations who support our aims.
This includes other Housing Associations, local councils, other agencies such as the police and fire service, as well as membership organisations.

We’re members of PlaceShapers – a national network of 90 housing organisations whose aim is to promote placeshaping. Placeshaping focuses on improving neighbourhoods and building stronger communities that offer what people need now, and in the future. The PlaceShapers’ network shares best practice amongst members, and seeks to influence government and other relevant agencies to take placeshaping into account when making policy decisions.
One of the examples shared by PlaceShapers tells the story of our Colliers Park homes (formerly known as the Sugar Hill Close and Wordsworth Drive redevelopment) which we developed with local residents over a number of years. The story highlights the impact our approach had on the people who used to live there previously, and people who live there now.
As well as being corporate members of PlaceShapers across Leeds Federated, our Chief Executive, Matthew Walker, is also the current PlaceShapers Chair of the Board.
We’re members of the National Housing Federation which represents all Housing Associations in England. The NHF works to shape national policy and ensure collaboration across the sector.
We’re a longstanding member of the Accent Strategic Partnership, through which we access grant funding from Homes England to build new homes.
We’re a member of the WYHP which is made up of 13 Housing Associations and 2 local councils who offer homes in the region.
The partnership also works with the Mayor of West Yorkshire, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Homes England and has 5 priorities: build affordable homes, drive quality and regeneration, tackle the climate emergency, connect health, housing and homelessness and invest in inclusive communities.
We’re a member of the YNYHP which is made up of 23 Housing Associations. It works with the new Mayor, as well as combined and local authorities, and Homes England to focus on three key areas:
