Last Friday, residents at our Memorial Drive older person’s scheme hosted a heartwarming Christmas party bringing together neighbours from across the community to spread some festive cheer and celebrate the season.
The afternoon was packed with activities including a Christmas quiz, raffle and even bingo. Residents tucked into a delicious buffet of sausage rolls, sandwiches and cakes.
The festivities continued with a special visit from pupils at Meanwood Primary School who performed Christmas carols.
Our Customer Engagement Officer, Scarlett Hancock, and Communications Officer, Katie Heath also attended the party and enjoyed chatting with residents, hearing their stories, and discussing more about how we can continue to work together to improve their neighbourhood.
Barbara, one of the residents who organised the party, said:
“What a lovely, festive afternoon it was. Events like these are so important, especially around the holidays because they bring people together.”
