A mutual exchange is a way to swap your home with another social housing tenant who also wants to move. Perhaps one wants to downsize and another needs more bedrooms. Or people may want to move to a different area.
We previously partnered with the House Exchange website to support the home swap process. The House Exchange website showed potential home swaps from the local area and across the UK. The House Exchange website closed permanently on 31 July 2026.
