Phone system upgrade

We’re currently upgrading our phone system, if you come across an issue when calling us, try again or email hello@leedsfed.com.

We want your home to be a modern, warm, well-maintained place for you and your family to live in.

To help keep your home in a good condition we replace items when they come to the end of their lifespan – this includes things like kitchens, bathrooms, boilers, roofs, insulation, windows, and doors.

In 2020 we carried out a survey of all homes – this was called a full stock condition survey. The survey told us which areas of your home would need improving, and when. From this information, we created a schedule for when replacements will happen – we call this our improvement, or planned work, programme.

Here’s more information about the different improvements we make:

We’re improving insulation in lots of homes at the moment. We’ve secured government funding through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) to help us with this work.

The SHDF fund was set up to improve the energy efficiency of social homes across the UK. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are used to rate the energy efficiency of each home. The funding will help us increase the energy efficiency ratings to EPC C. Improving the EPC rating helps customers to stay warm in winter, cool in summer, and save money on their heating bills.

As part of the insulation work we’ll upgrade current insulation in your roof or loft.

We must carry out this work and if we’ve identified that your home needs an upgrade, we’ll contact you to plan the work in.

A kitchen replacement is a big job and our contractors will be in your home for around 15 working days. If we’ve identified that you need a kitchen replacement we’ll give you plenty of notice. Our team will also visit you at home to plan your new kitchen. You’ll be able to choose from a range of kitchen worktops, flooring and decoration.

Once we start the work, we’ll keep you updated on what’s happening day-to-day. Our project managers will oversee and sign-off on the work to make sure your kitchen has been finished to a good standard with no outstanding issues

We know these works can be difficult to live around, but we’ll make sure we plan the work with you and meet the agreed timescales with our contractors.

You’ll be able to choose the colours for your new bathroom tiles, flooring and decoration before we start. We aim to complete bathroom replacements in around 10 working days.

We’ll install an electric shower in your bathroom and provide shower rails and curtains so it’s ready for you to start using.

Our project managers will oversee and sign-off on the work to make sure your bathroom has been finished to a good standard with no outstanding issues.

We want you to stay warm in your home so we replace boilers every 15 years to avoid them breaking down.

We aim to install replacement boilers in 2 days. We’ll also replace radiators and boiler controls, as needed.

Most home now have PVCu windows and high-security composite doors. If your home doesn’t have these installed as standard, we’ll look to replace these. It usually takes less than 5 days to replace all doors and windows in a home.

We also carry out other improvement work on a pre-planned basis, such as roofs, structural work, or other minor work.

Refer your home for an improvement

If you there’s an item in your home that we need to consider replacing earlier than planned then get in touch with us to request a visit from one of our surveyors. It may be an item that’s in poor condition, through no fault of your own.

Once a surveyor has visited your home, they’ll let us know whether the item can be repaired, or whether it needs to be replaced.

Our commitment to you

We’ll always strive to carry out good quality work using products we’ve tried and tested over many years. We aim to give you a professional service and will ask for your feedback once we’ve finished. It’s very important to us that we capture what we did well or not so well to learn and improve the services we offer.
