Rent in Leeds

To apply for a property in Leeds, you need to register with Leeds Homes.

You can then bid for Leeds Federated, or other housing association and council homes. Bidding starts every Wednesday and closes on Mondays at 5pm.

Rent in North Yorkshire

To apply for a home in North Yorkshire you need to register with Harrogate Borough Council and you will be added to the waiting list. When one of our properties, or another housing association or local authority council home becomes available in the area, the council decides who should be offered the home.

Rent in Wakefield

To apply for a property in Wakefield, you need to register with Wakefield District Housing. You can then bid for our properties and other housing association and council homes on the Wakefield District Housing Homesearch website.For more information, go to the Homesearch website or call Wakefield District Council on 0344 9 02 02 02.

Rent in Selby

Our properties are advertised via the North Yorkshire Home Choice CBL scheme where you can bid for them during the lettings cycle. You need to register to be able to bid. Bids are sent to us via email from the Selby lettings team once the bidding process finishes for us to consider making a formal offer following our checks in line with our Lettings Policy.

To apply for a property in Kirklees, you need to register with Kirklees Council Housing. You can then bid for our properties and other housing association and council homes on the Kirklees Council Housing Choose n Move website. Buying A Home

Shared Ownership is a great way to buy a home and get on the housing ladder. You buy a share of the property (usually around 50%) and pay rent for the rest. This can make it an affordable option and easier to get a mortgage.

Swap my home

If you live in a social housing property and want to move, you could swap your home.

Home swaps (also called a mutual exchange) take place when two tenants agree to swap homes. Perhaps one wants to downsize and another needs more bedrooms. Or, people may want to move to a different area.

If you want to swap houses with someone who lives in a Leeds Federated property, get in touch with your Neighbourhood Officer. We support customers who want to swap their homes with each other if the properties are suitable for them and the qualifying criteria are met.
