Steve has over 30 years’ experience in social housing organisations and, after starting his career as an Income Officer, has held management positions across most areas of landlord activity.

Steve became Chief Executive at Ongo in April 2018 and has led from a G3 downgrade back to G1 status. As Chief Executive, Steve re-structured the Ongo Group moving away from an unregistered parent company while retaining charitable and commercial subsidiaries to maximise the impact Ongo has on local communities throughout the Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire region.

He is a passionate believer in tenant empowerment and has championed this through devolving real decision making powers to tenants at Ongo giving them control over tenant facing policies.
