Chris Simpson, Chair of Asset and Investment Committee
Chris has worked in Housing and related fields since 1993. He studied for an MSc in Housing from the London School of Economics and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing since 1997. For the past three years he has been Executive Director at Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, York and for 10 years prior to that he was CEO at Belle Isle TMO in Leeds.
During that time, he also spent a year as the Interim CEO at West Northwest Homes Leeds during which he combined both roles. Chris is passionate about housing and the fundamental role it can play in developing better communities and giving people the chance to live their best lives. Having lived in Leeds since 1998 and overseen and delivered services in the South and West of the city he has a good knowledge of its communities and the challenges and opportunities that exist.
