New affordable homes in Knaresborough

24 Jul 2018

CEO Matthew Walker, picured here with residents, Wendy Kehoe, Lesley Tanner and Diane Falkingham, celebrated the completion of the £700,000 development of five affordable homes to rent, situated near the town’s historic High Street.

Head of Assets and Development at Leeds Federated, Stephen Ellis said:

“We’re delighted to bring much needed additional housing to the centre of Knaresborough, which will provide high quality homes for individuals and families for the foreseeable future.

“Finkle Mews was built in a conservation area and its historical significance was always at the forefront of our minds during the development process. We are very grateful for the ongoing support of Harrogate Borough Council, our partners and understanding neighbours who have enabled us to complete this fantastic project.”

Councillor Mike Chambers, cabinet member with responsibility for housing at Harrogate Borough Council, said:

“These new homes are a welcome addition to Knaresborough.

We need more high-quality properties across the district which are affordable by definition and in real terms.

“It is also a great example of the benefit of working closely with partners like Leeds Federated.”
