Leeds Federated Street Name Celebrates A Proud Leeds Man And Local MP

Stan’s widow Brenda, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren visited Stan Cohen Way in Halton Moor, a development by Leeds Federated Housing, with support from Homes England and Leeds City Council.
Brenda told Leeds Federated, “Stan was east Leeds all his life and, as a local MP, housing and community mattered to him.  These lovely new homes and the name ‘Stan Cohen Way’ are a fine tribute to his memory.” 
Stan Cohen Way has been built over the last year and provides 12 two and three bedroom homes for shared ownership and affordable rent. The development will help in the regeneration of the area and more homes are due to be built there in the near future. We hope that Stan would have been proud of the work that has been done to give families affordable, good quality homes in an area he knew well.
