Other Support Agencies We Work With


As well as providing support services directly through our own supported housing services, Leeds Fed also works with various agencies from the voluntary sector who provide support services in Leeds Fed accomodation on our behalf. These include the following organisations and services:

301 Housing CO-OP
A Housing Co-op with 7 units located at 301 Chapeltown Road. We have been
working with 301 since 1987

Archway
Archway is an organisation set up in 1998 to provide floating support services to
young people within the SRB3 areas of Chapeltown and Harehills. It is a joint
venture with LFHA, The Ridings and Unity all providing units for permanent
tenants to enable young people with a range of support needs to live
independently in the community. Archway are now able to provide floating
support to young people outside of the SRB3 area as well as to young single
parents.

CANOPY Housing Project
Self build organisation based in Hyde Park providing supported housing in short
life properties.

Carr-Gomm
Floating Support for permanent tenants to enable single parents with a range of
support needs to manage their tenancy. To encourage skills learning and offer
practical help, emotional support and confidence building to face their particular
difficulties.

Catholic Care
A charitable organisation, working on behalf of the Diocese of Leeds. It offers a
variety of services and support, not only to the Catholic population, but also to
the wider community as a whole. The organisation provides a range of services
including Five Children's homes, Six homes for adults with a leaning difficulties,
Adoption and Fostering services and advice, support and counselling services for
schools.
LFHA currently only provide Catholic Care with 10 properties these are at
Foundry Mill Mount, and is a project offering supported living accommodation for
people with long-term mental health difficulties. Supported Housing for Adults

Community Links
A large provider of supported housing schemes in Leeds for people with mental
health difficulties Community Links manages a number of schemes on behalf of
LFHA.
Maltings Road Hostel, purpose built property with mixture of shared and
self-contained units, with shared living space.
Octavia House - a rehabilitated property at 15 East Grange Drive for
shared use.
Firelight
We have been working with Firelight Housing Co-op since 1986. They manage
19 units of Shortlife and LFHA owned properties in the Woodhouse area of
Leeds.

Foundation Housing
Foundation is a large provider of supported housing schemes in Leeds and has
managed schemes on behalf of LFHA for many years. The Leeds Team provide
supported accommodation for ex-offenders providing long-term move-on
accommodation. Foundation Safer Communities is a scheme with ten dispersed
units across LFHA's stock for high-risk offenders. The Grove Housing Team
provides supported housing to young people aged 16 to 25. Offering a range of
accommodation packages including shared housing, bed sits, and single
tenancies. Two schemes in Harrogate offer support to young people at risk and
teen parents.

GIPSIL (Gipton Supported Independent Living)
A community-based project providing furnished supported tenancies to young
people on the Gipton estate since 1993. They have 20 flats for young single
people, and six houses for single parent families. To assist residents to develop
independent living skills in order for them to move onto appropriate
accommodation.

LATCH
Self build organisation providing supported housing based in Chapeltown
managing 12 short life properties.

LCHAA
Leeds Christian Homes for Adults with Autistism (Ashlar House). Provision of
long term residential and day services for adults with autism, in an 8 bed
registered care home.

Leeds Housing Concern
Provision of short term accommodation for single homeless
men,women and young people. Sometimes following a crisis
situation or in need of a settled environment before moving on to
independent accommodation.

Carr Beck Project
Carr Beck is a unique project, which provides accommodation for
homeless women over 40 who choose to continue to drink. Carr Beck
works in conjunction with health professionals, social service teams
and voluntary agencies to offer a holistic approach to clients' support
needs.
Women's Sector Project
Women's Sector provides 50 bedspaces for single women who, in
addition to being homeless, may also have suffered violence,
intimidation abuse and harassment. The sector also works with
women who have physical or mental health issues, a background of
offending, or a drugs/substance use problem.

Men's Sector Project
Men's Sector provides supported housing for single men who are
homeless, or have lived in hostels and other insecure
accommodation, or have a background of rough sleeping.
People accessing the accommodation have a variety of care needs
including: alcohol misuse, drug addiction, mental health issues and
poor coping skills. Multiplicity of need is a common feature of our
client group

Young Persons Project
The project was established over 15 years ago in South Leeds. The
service offers supported housing for single homeless young people
aged 16-25 with varying and multiple care needs.

Sinclair Project
A project providing accommodation and support for people with
substance misuse issues.

Leeds Mind
Provision of floating support for individuals with mental health problems. They
currently manage The Dove Centre, a day centre located at 33 Foundry Mill
Street

Leeds Women's Aid (LWA)
26 units providing support, advice and safe temporary accommodation for
women and their children fleeing violence or the threat there of. Properties
include a hostel, dispersed units and a one bed disabled unit.

Luna Wimins Co-op
Housing Co-op for lesbian women & their children, managing 3 properties on
Meanwood Road.

New Albion CO-OP
Housing Co-op managing 7 properties on Meanwood Road.

Safe Haven
Providing supported accommodation to asylum seekers through the government
funded NASS.

SAHARA
An independent charity and company limited by guarantee which works in close
conjunction with Leeds Housing Concern. A refuge and outreach service
providing services for black single women and women with children and white
women with black children who are experiencing homelessness and social
disadvantage as a result of mental and/or physical violence.

Sholebroke Housing Project
11 bed hostel providing temporary supported accommodation, life skills training
and move on support. For homeless young people with mental health problems,
predominantly Asian and African-Caribbean in Harehills

St Anne's
An RSL who manage 13 LFHA units. To provide secure permanent
accommodation to single homeless people with support needs, including learning
disability, referred by Local Authority, St Anne's and Social Services.

Sign Project
Provide 2 units of accommodation in a shared house for people with mental
health problems and deafness.

Touchstone
Touchstone is a large provider of supported housing and mental health services
in Leeds providing temporary accommodation and rehabilitative support to single
people or single parents with mental health problems and to assist them on into
permanent secure accommodation.

UNIPOL
51 units of accommodation for students

UBU (formerly Northern Life Care)
Manage one property for LFHA at 59 Stockingate, South Kirby. Providing 4
units of supported accommodation in a shared house for adults with learning
disability.

United Response
United Response is a national provider of supported housing and registered care
for people with profound learning and physical disabilities. United Response has
managed two registered care homes schemes on behalf of LFHA since 1997
they are located at 14 Lingwell Approach in Middleton and 2A St Albans Close in
Harehills.
