...request a transfer?
You can request a transfer at any time providing you have
occupied your current property for at least 12 months and have no
outstanding debts with the association and you have not broken any
of the conditions of your tenancy. We would consider the following
to be an urgent case:
- Serious harassment
- Medical needs which are affected by your property
- Domestic violence
These are not the only reasons that we may consider as an urgent
need to move. Please speak to your Neighbourhood Manager on 0113
386 1000.
We are also partners in the common housing register in Leeds and
you can also apply to the Leeds
Homes scheme which will allow you to bid for properties
advertised by some of the other social landlords in Leeds as well
as the City Council. Please note that some landlords use a
different method to allocate their properties so please check with
them directly. There is more information on the Leeds Homes website
and in the application pack.
However, we would not consider you for an immediate transfer if you
have any of the following:
- Rent arrears on any Leeds Federated property
- Rechargeable repairs
- Court Orders for arrears, anti-social behaviour, refusal of gas
maintenance
- Other outstanding issues may also prevent a transfer
.
