...exchange my tenancy?

As a tenant of Leeds Federated you can exchange (swap) properties with another social landlord or with a council property provided we give our permission first.
If you have already found another tenant who would also like to exchange then you should contact us to discuss this further. Phone us on 0113 386 1000.
Or you may print out and complete the mutual exchange request form and return to us. We will require forms to be completed by both parties and there are forms for Leeds Federated tenants and other landlord's tenants to complete.
If you have not already found a suitable exchange property then you can join the mutual exchange register. For more information read the mutual exchange statement and the registration form.

You can exchange with tenants in other areas of the country using the Homeswap service. This is an online service which contains the details of thousands of tenants who wish to move to other parts of the country for employment or to be close to family or friends. More details can be found on www.moveuk.co.uk. You will still need your landlord's permission before you exchange properties.
