How can I pay my rent?

To pay on-line using Debit card/Credit card click www.allpay.net or call our Customer Service Team on 0113 386 1000 to pay over the phone

Direct Debit/ Standing Order - We can arrange to send a mandate to you. Call 0113 386 1000 or e-mail homes@lfha.co.uk

Rent Payment card - Call our Customer Service Team on 0113 386 1000 to order a new card

Cash - We can take cash payments at our office at Arthington House; however, we prefer the other methods of payment for security reasons

Note - we no longer accept cheques

Rent queries

Any queries on rent accounts can be quickly resolved by contacting our Customer Service Centre (8.30-5.00, Mon-Fri) or calling into our office (9.00-5.00, Mon-Fri).

Our dedicated Income Management staff are available to assist tenants in setting up repayment agreements if an account falls into arrears. The officers actively monitor all rent accounts and aim to recover any outstanding debt. We can help in completion with your Housing Benefit claim by verifying the claim at our office in Leeds or we can arrange for our Income Management staff to visit you at a time that is convenient to you.

You can now contact our Income Management staff between 5.30pm and 8.30pm every Wednesday. Just call on 0113 3861040

Rent Account Statements
Statements are sent quarterly (every 3 months) to tenants and coincide with the housing benefit payment cycle to give an accurate account balance.
You can call our Customer Service Centre on 0113 386 1000 and request an up-to-date statement at any point during the year.

Rent Free Weeks
Each year there are four weeks when rent is not charged for most tenants. These are usually the last full weeks of June, September, December and March. Actual dates for each year will be confirmed in our newsletter.
Rent for some tenancies is charged across 52 weeks or 12 months, so you must make all these payments. If you are in rent arrears, you must continue to pay during rent free weeks.

Can I claim benefits?

You can see if you qualify for housing benefit by speaking to our Income Management staff or you can do a calculation online at www.leeds.gov.uk or www.dwp.gov.uk

We will visit you at you home to help you complete your claim if you prefer. Please call us to arrange a convenient time or you can call into our office in Leeds.

What happens if I fall into arrears?

You need to contact us immediately to discuss a repayment plan or we will take steps to recover the debt. This will start with the serving of a Notice of Seeking Possession which enables us to take further action if necessary, and could result in you losing your home if you do not work with us to repay what you owe.
